Ethical Planet began as an online business in 2003 with the intention of expanding to a retail storefront. In late 2006 that dream became a reality when we opened our first brick and mortar storefront in the downtown Evanston area.

Ethical Planet is based on an old fashioned general store with a healthy vegan twist. Our product choices have all been researched to be sure they have the least impact and harm to the body, mind, soul and planet.

Founded by Fran Horvath, a vegan since 1992, Ethical Planet's purpose is to provide people with easy vegan choices in regard to what they eat, what they wear, what they clean with and how they choose to live a little more softly on this great planet of ours.

At Ethical Planet we are committed to promoting the well-being of every two legged and four legged creature and the habitat in which we share.
